May 3, 2021 and ends
May 9, 2021
This year Mental Health Week takes place virtually May 3-9, 2021 which coincides with Catholic Education Week: Nurturing Hope.
Always be mindful of individuals who may be experiencing mental health issues as they may require support during these activities and discussions. Students are encouraged to seek support from a trusted adult, call Kids Help Phone at 1-800-668-6868 and in crisis, contact COAST Hamilton at 905-972-8338.
Since the COVID-19 pandemic began in March 2020, there has been a focus on #GetReal about how you feel to encourage conversations about emotions. Across the country, people’s real conversations have shattered the COVID-19 isolation through the sharing of real experiences and feelings. The Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) has scheduled Wednesday May 5, 2021 as the day to #GoGreen in celebration and recognition of Mental Health Week. The Catholic Education Week subtheme for Wednesday May 5, 2021 is Cultivating Relationships. In celebration and recognition of both Catholic Education Week and Mental Health Week, staff and students are asked to “Cultivate Relationships in Green”. Participate in “Going Green” by
decorating your home or wear green to celebrate hope and the value of positive relationships.
Thank you for your on-going commitment to wellness.
