The Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test (OSSLT) is a provincially mandated test of reading and writing and is administered yearly to all Grade 10 students.
This year the OSSLT will be written on Wednesday, March 27, 2019.
The OSSLT is developed by the Education Quality and Accountability Office (EQAO) and is based on the expectations for reading and writing that are outlined in the Ontario curriculum policy documents for all subject areas up to the end of Grade 9. Reading and writing skills are the basis for learning in all subject areas in both elementary and secondary school.
Secondary students who are preparing for the OSSLT can access further support for additional literacy skills practice through myCLASS.http://hwcdsb.elearningontario.ca/
