Ancaster's Monica Daly scores winning run in U19 National Women's Fastpitch Championship

Ancaster resident Monica Daly, of the Waterloo Ghosts Softball team, helped her squad secure the gold medal at the 2018 U19 National Women's Fastpitch Championship in Surrey, B.C. on Aug. 12.

The Ghosts maintained a perfect 10-0 record throughout the national championship and a few weeks earlier, won the Ontario provincial title with a 9-0 record.

Daly is a recent graduate of St. Mary Catholic Secondary School. She is currently attending Wayne State University in Michigan on a softball scholarship.
